About Our Company
Direct Electric, Inc. is a family-owned-and-operated company that started in the South Bay area.
We have many years of experience in providing exceptional service to the community. Our
business handles all city gates and access control for the City of Santa Monica and has received
the Notice of Achievement Award from the City of Hawthorne for our volunteer work.
Since 1986, we have served the area as the motor control experts. Our company boasts many
certifications and formal training from SeimensTM and FAAC InternationalTM. We are also trained
as industrial technicians for the printing industry.
About the Owner
Our owner, David, was born and raised in Los Angeles and has many years of experience in
specializing in all things electrical. He graduated from Venice High School with honors and then
attended Santa Monica City College where he took classes for automotive repairs, welding, sheet
metal work, drafting, technical repairs, and shop production. David also has formal education for
motor control, fiber optics, cabling, networking, and Programmable Ladder Control (PLC).
In addition to his college courses, David has 40 years of experience in the printing industry. He
has extensive training on heat set, and Coldset printing presses for major newspaper
corporations.
